3/8-24 x 1/4 Brass Tip 18-8 Stainless Steel Socket Set Screw is built for set-screw holding where a brass contact face is preferred over a bare point. Where nylon is not the preferred contact face, the brass tip gives a metallic soft-tip option.
Semiconductor tooling and clean equipment fixtures use tip screws for less severe localized contact. Internal socket access keeps the screw headless for compact adjustment points.
Check the 3/8-24 x 1/4 thread, threaded length, tip length, tip diameter, mating material, and drive access against the drawing. Because the tip is added to the working end, the 3A thread fit remains available for close-fitting tapped holes. For stainless-on-stainless assemblies, avoid fast dry installation because galling can damage threads.
