1/4 x 7/8 0.001 Oversize Dowel Pin is a heat treated steel locating pin for recovering a worn or loosened dowel fit. Re-ream the worn hole clean and true; the additional 0.001 in. of pin diameter restores the interference a standard pin can no longer provide.

After crash repair, a sprung dowel fit may need an oversize pin once the hole has been cleaned and trued. Review the nominal diameter, actual oversize diameter range, length tolerance, end style, material, and ASME series before substituting a standard pin.
