10-24 x 2 1960 Series 18-8 Stainless Steel Socket Head Cap Screw with Nylon Insert supports compact internal-hex fastening where a backed-out screw would create a service problem. Nylon contact at the thread adds frictional resistance while preserving the standard internal hex drive arrangement.

Use it for conveyor side rails, machine covers, or adjustable production fixtures after confirming thread engagement, drive access, and the mating material. The nylon element gives the joint a locking feature, but it also limits service temperature compared with an all-metal socket screw.

For torque-once joints where a locking pellet is not required, plain 18-8 Socket Head Cap Screws may be the simpler routing. Cold Headers installs nylon inserts in-house for supported socket-cap configurations, with odd-size sourcing handled through the quote process.
