3/8-16 x 3/8 Cup Point Square Head Set Screw gives maintenance crews a wrench-driven cup point fastener for machinery that still calls out square-head hardware. The cup point creates localized contact with the mating surface, while the external flats give the installer a direct wrenching surface.

Conveyor drive pulleys and shaft-mounted components can use this pattern when a protruding drive head is acceptable.

Use Cold Headers when the requirement is specific: square head, cup point, carbon steel, Class 2A thread, and the length shown on the drawing. Review the thread, length, square-head dimensions, and cup point diameter before substituting another set screw style.
