1/2-13 x 6 Cup Point Square Head Set Screw is a plain-finish carbon steel fastener for square-head set screw specifications. The square flats also make the part recognizable on older assemblies that were designed before headless hex-socket set screws became common.

Mill and grinder adjustments use this style where rugged wrench access is part of the original machine design.

Use Cold Headers when the requirement is specific: square head, cup point, carbon steel, Class 2A thread, and the length shown on the drawing. Review the thread, length, square-head dimensions, and cup point diameter before substituting another set screw style.
