The published OD range of 0.448-0.459 in. is larger than the 0.437-0.445 in. recommended hole range by design.

For machine handles, knob shafts, or operator controls, check the drilled-hole range, pin length, and access for driving the pin squarely. For worn precision holes, 0.001 Oversize Dowel Pins may be the better repair path than using a spring pin.
