1/8 x 1 3/4 Heat Treated Steel Standard Dowel Pin is a standard-series dowel for pressed installation into a properly prepared nominal reamed hole. Standard Series dowels are intentionally oversize, with the basic diameter 0.0002 in. over nominal so the pin presses into a nominal reamed hole.
Common uses include gauge fixtures, inspection tooling, and check fixtures, where the pin establishes position and nearby screws provide clamp force. For worn or re-reamed holes, 0.001 Oversize Dowel Pins are the repair companion to standard pins used for initial installation.
