6-32 x 5/16 Brass Tip 18-8 Stainless Steel Socket Set Screw is built for set-screw holding where a brass contact face is preferred over a bare point. Where nylon is not the preferred contact face, the brass tip gives a metallic soft-tip option.

Semiconductor tooling and clean equipment fixtures use tip screws for less severe localized contact. Internal socket access keeps the screw headless for compact adjustment points.
