1/2-13 x 1/2 Nylon Tip 18-8 Stainless Steel Socket Set Screw is built for set-screw holding where a nylon contact face is preferred over a bare point. For light contact on finished components, the nylon tip shifts wear toward the replaceable screw end.
Spline shafts, keyed shafts, and positioning components use the tip as a sacrificial contact face. Internal socket access keeps the screw headless for compact adjustment points.
Check the 1/2-13 x 1/2 thread, threaded length, tip length, tip diameter, mating material, and drive access against the drawing. The nylon tip installation work is handled at Cold Headers' Chicago facility for specialty socket requirements. Stainless set screws can gall in stainless collars, making controlled installation useful during service.
