6-32 x 1/4 Nylon Tip 18-8 Stainless Steel Socket Set Screw provides a row-specific nylon contact tip on an 18-8 stainless steel set screw body. For light contact on finished components, the nylon tip shifts wear toward the replaceable screw end.
Semiconductor tooling and clean equipment fixtures use tip screws for less severe localized contact. Internal socket access keeps the screw headless for compact adjustment points.
Check the 6-32 x 1/4 thread, threaded length, tip length, tip diameter, mating material, and drive access against the drawing. The nylon tip installation work is handled at Cold Headers' Chicago facility for specialty socket requirements. For stainless-on-stainless assemblies, avoid fast dry installation because galling can damage threads.
