Cup Point Slotted Set Screws

Cup point slotted set screws are headless threaded fasteners designed to secure collars, hubs, gears, pulleys, knobs, handles, and other shaft-mounted components. The slotted drive allows installation with a conventional flat-blade screwdriver, while the recessed cup point creates localized rim contact against the mating surface to help secure assembled components.

Cup point geometry is commonly selected where concentrated holding contact is desired between the set screw and the mating shaft or component. Depending on the mating material and installation conditions, the cup point may leave a witness mark or shallow indentation on the contacted surface.
