1/4-20 x 5 1/2 is a low carbon steel, case hardened square head set screw for wrench-driven holding where an external square head is acceptable.

Typical applications include mill and conveyor drives where square-head hardware remains accessible during service. Half Dog, Full Dog, Cone, Oval, and Flat points are the ordering paths for this square-head series. Flat points bear against a machined flat without intentional penetration into the mating surface.

Cold Headers brings long socket and set screw experience to older machine platforms where square-head hardware is still specified. The family runs UNC coarse thread throughout, the traditional square-head series. Socket set screw families provide the internal-drive alternative where square-head projection or wrench swing will not clear.
