1/2-20 x 4 Cup Point Square Head Set Screw is a plain-finish carbon steel fastener for square-head set screw specifications. The square flats also make the part recognizable on older assemblies that were designed before headless hex-socket set screws became common.

Industrial controls with exposed mechanical adjustments can use square-head set screws where a protruding wrench head is intentionally specified.

Use Cold Headers when the requirement is specific: square head, cup point, carbon steel, Class 2A thread, and the length shown on the drawing. Review the thread, length, square-head dimensions, and cup point diameter before substituting another set screw style.
