5/16 x 4 Pull Dowel Pin (Threaded Dowel Pin) is built for blind-hole locating work where a standard dowel can be hard to remove. Use pull dowel, removable dowel pin, threaded dowel pin, and tapped dowel pin when cross-checking older records. A standard dowel in a blind hole has no back side for punch-out access, so the tapped end provides the practical removal path.

For press brake tooling, formed-tool inserts, or alignment details, check the reamed hole, pull access, and whether the tapped end can be reached after assembly. Where economical retention in a drilled hole is enough, Tension Pins may be the better product family than a ground dowel.
