5/16 x 3/4 Heat Treated Steel Standard Dowel Pin is a bread-and-butter die and fixture component for repeatable part registration. Standard Series dowels are intentionally oversize, with the basic diameter 0.0002 in. over nominal so the pin presses into a nominal reamed hole.
For hardened hinge assemblies, pivot locations, or guided links, confirm the reamed hole condition, pin diameter, and length before release to production or repair. Pull Dowel Pins add a tapped end for removal from blind holes when the die or fixture cannot be flipped.
