1/8 x 2 Heat Treated Steel Standard Dowel Pin gives machine builders a hardened locating element for plates, bases, and tooling assemblies. Standard Series dowels are intentionally oversize, with the basic diameter 0.0002 in. over nominal so the pin presses into a nominal reamed hole.
In hardened hinge assemblies, pivot locations, and guided links, the hardened ground pin helps repeat location through service, teardown, and rebuild cycles. Pull Dowel Pins add a tapped end for removal from blind holes when the die or fixture cannot be flipped.
