1/16 x 7/16 Heat Treated Steel Standard Dowel Pin is a standard-series dowel for pressed installation into a properly prepared nominal reamed hole. The pin is made slightly large by design; the press fit comes from the relationship between the ground pin and the prepared hole.
Common uses include indexing plates, locating plates, and assembly tooling, where the pin establishes position and nearby screws provide clamp force. Bare heat treated steel should be kept oiled in storage and service planning when the environment may promote oxidation.
