1/16 x 5/8 18-8 Stainless Steel Standard Dowel Pin is used when the assembly needs a cylindrical locator rather than a threaded fastener carrying the lateral location load.
Stainless weldment alignment and equipment-panel assembly benefit from a pin that controls location while allowing serviceable fastener layout. Oversize Dowel Pins may be appropriate for repair fits in re-reamed holes where a standard diameter no longer restores location. Use the nominal diameter, tolerance band, and length together; the dowel sets location while separate fasteners provide clamping force.
