The washer is not a substitute for joint design review, but it is the washer style commonly paired with recessed socket head cap screws. Use it alongside 1960 Series Socket Head Cap Screws when the drawing calls for a hi-collar washer.
Use this style for maintenance kits, screw-and-washer kitting, replacement hardware, and shop service bins when a standard split lock washer has too much outside diameter for the counterbore.
